In turn, helping the company accelerate market penetration timelines of products in pipeline, as well as value added to our customers and the industry.
Having a wide product pipeline, with over 15 launches planned until 2026 within Personal Care (Cosmetics), Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, and Biomaterials, we need someone with a chemistry background and product/ingredient development experience.
As an application scientist, you will not only be responsible for developing end-product formulations to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of our ingredients.
HOW YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE
We expect our next Product Development Scientist/Engineer to support us on the following:
Develop new sustainable ingredients and relevant product formulations in all the product categories (Personal Care, Food & Beverages, Nutraceuticals) according to the Product Pipeline Document by:
Planning, and executing product development trials using the Kaffe Bueno’s upstream and/or downstream products using Green and Sustainable Bio/Chemistry Principles. This will involve procuring ingredients when needed, communicating with the team, and suggestions for ongoing process/quality improvement.
Documenting and sharing the results, analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for improving upstream/downstream process steps.
Supervise and carry out lab operations to ensure the availability of product and ingredient samples and prototypes to ensure customer needs are met.
Translate and transfer new technical ideas into deliverable new product and ingredients concepts which are aligned with Kaffe Bueno’s Innovation Strategy.
Lead applied research projects for re-positioning of existing products through performance evaluation towards new claims, modification of existing products to adapt to new market needs.
Work with varied forms of formulations, including emulsions and surfactant systems, for applications in the product categories.
