At Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company, we have an opportunity for an experienced Software Project Manager (Installations) to join our team.
The Project Manager manages Software Product Projects, from Sales order through to acceptance, within the Healthcare sector. You will meet regularly with customers, and their suppliers, to develop agreed schedules. Most projects will involve upgrades of our software and expansion.
A sound knowledge of IT and network infrastructure is advantageous.
Projects will typically focus on the delivery of new or enhanced products, to improvement customer satisfaction, through the use of technology (new products and upgrades). Typical project duration, from concept to delivery, is 6-12 months.
Project Installations will involve acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems or system integration. Project Schedules are reported for quarterly Revenue Forecasting purposes.
Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key; however a strong technical background is advantageous to manage competing interests.
Fluency in both Danish and English (both verbal and written communication) is an essential requirement.
  • Act as a single point of contact for our customers.
  • Help customers prepare their facility for a successful and efficient upgrade or installation.
  • Some travel to customers sites to discuss IT requirements
  • Issue Varian documentation explaining our requirements.
  • Extensive interaction with Sales, Order Processing, Installations Resource Managers and customers’ teams.
  • Review Sales Orders (noting any unusual requirements) and following up with appropriate action after gained experience.
  • Oversee schedules and target budgets for installs and upgrades.
  • Monitor the customer facility preparations and coordinate equipment shipment schedules to ensure timely and effective installation and acceptance of equipment.
  • Advise customers on complex facility requirements for IT equipment
  • Provide reports indicating installation activities and analysing schedules.
  • Builds expert knowledge in our industry and conveys that knowledge to benefit our customer’s experience.
  • Lends expertise to internal teams. Applies best practice and lessons learned.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Experience in Project Management, IT / Network and Infrastructure, Field Customer Service.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • General appreciation of IT and network design.
  • Fluency in both Danish and English (both verbal and written communication) essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in field.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
