Blue Power Partners is a global consultancy and project development company with a dedicated focus on developing renewable energy. We are expanding our PtX activities and are looking for a talented colleague.

The team is engaged in the development of onshore wind, solar, storage, and PtX projects. We work in close collaboration with our clients in commercial evaluations as well as conceptual and basic design.

About the job

The role includes a great variety of topics, and you must expect to be involved in projects outside your usual area of expertise. Therefore, the right candidates show a high level of agility and perseverance combined with a natural curiosity and passion for acquiring new knowledge.

Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your main tasks may include:

  • Assist with senior expertise in the development process of PtX projects
  • Determining and managing the technical basis for projects, including choices based on technical and commercial evaluation, guarantees, PFD, P&ID, specifications, and interfaces between various project disciplines
  • Participating in technical classification meetings, exhibit reviews, and negotiations
  • Technical support to proposal, tender processes, safety assessment, and doing plant commissioning
  • Technical assistance to project stakeholders
  • Evaluation of project maturity during the development stage
  • Conversion of detailed engineering to fit contents for decision reports/presentations
  • Third-party verification management
  • Enhance knowledge sharing and optimal project execution

Our projects are worldwide thus, some traveling may be expected, which requires a flexible attitude from time to time.

Preferably, we expect you to enrich our business with the following experience and skills:

  • Msc. degree in chemical or relevant engineering
  • 5-10+ years’ relevant experience with chemical processes
  • Experience with (or knowledge about) various processes for production of renewables such as electrolysis, steam methane reforming (SMR), Haber-Bosch process, methanol synthesis, methanization, synthesis of higher hydrocarbons (methanol-2-X and Fischer-Tropsch-synthesis), refinery processes, carbon capture, thermal treatment of biomass/waste, CO2 sequestration, etc.
  • Organized, accurate and detail-oriented
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal/organizational skills
  • Pragmatic, agile, and willing to take on a variety of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
