Job Description

Come join us in creating inspiring interactive play experiences for LEGO®fans all around the world!

Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Interactive Play Designer, you will join our journey in creating tomorrow’s interactive play experiences!

You will be working in the intersection between physical and digital design and are expected to work across the entire design process including early-stage conceptual work to detailed ready-to-launch designs. Further to your role, your responsibilities will cover:

  • Understanding the key objectives for your own area and continuously align direction with your team and collaborators. Importantly, you are comfortable managing your own time and tasks.
  • Leading by example, guide, and influence other designers and developers in your project – with the potential to lean further towards enhancing your management and leadership skills.
  • Presenting projects and prototypes to internal partners in compelling ways, negotiate professionally and factually for design/project choices towards key collaborators.
  • Being a critical part of the design team and defining the creative directions of new concepts by making them tangible and playable, using LEGO® system-in-play, consumer insights, competitor knowledge and previous experience.
  • Connecting with our main consumer (kids) by empathizing with their needs and interests. Develop the needed prototypes to test, explore and validate the potential for enjoyable long-lasting play experiences. You understand how to create interactive prototypes at different levels of fidelity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues by participating in and/or facilitating workshops, brainstorming sessions, and ideation boosts to generate new ideas/concepts/solutions to designs, as well as giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • The ability to design within a variety of constraints (budget, frames, business objectives, technology feasibility etc.) and implement the right level of complexity vs. return on investment.
