Danfoss er en dansk familieejet virksomhed hjemmehørende i Nordborg nord for Sønderborg på Als. Virksomhedens mest kendte produkt er termostater til varmeregulering, men firmaet har en bred produktportefølje udover køle/varme området.

Mads Clausen begyndte et samarbejde med Brødrene Müller i Vollerup, som fremstillede dele efter hans tegning. Efter flere forsøg, stod de 25. november 1932 med en brugbar ventil. Danfoss blev stiftet i 1933 af Mads Clausen under navnet Dansk Køleautomatik- og Apparat-Fabrik. I 1946 skiftede virksomheden navn til Danfoss, som er dannet af ordene Danmark og fosse (strømmer). Den første Danfoss-fabrik er udnævnt til nationalt industriminde.

Danfoss har lavet mange ting der ikke blev nogen succes. F.eks. strygejern og selvbinder/mejetærsker. Jens Aksel Freudendahl der i flere år arbejde på Danfoss som ingeniør, startede 1951 JF-Fabriken i Sønderborg.

I 1996 overtog Jørgen Mads Clausen, søn af grundlæggeren, pladsen som topchef efter Henry Petersen. I 2008 overlod han pladsen som CEO til Niels B. Christiansen. Danfoss ejes i dag af Bitten og Mads Clausen fonden og parrets fem børn.

Danfoss har cirka 21.200 ansatte i hele verden, hvoraf de 5.800 arbejder i Danmark. Det gør Danfoss til en af Danmarks største industrikoncerner. Siden sønnen Jørgen Mads Clausen i 1996 overtog posten som administrerende direktør har Danfoss opkøbt 60 andre virksomheder, heraf 3 i Kina, hvor flere følger i fremtiden. Koncernens hovedsæde er i Nordborg på Als.

Danfoss er i dag en af de førende virksomheder indenfor varme og køleteknik. Firmaet oplyser selv at de globalt har en omsætning på ca. 2 milliarder Euro. I 2008 købte Danfoss en yderligere andel af Sauer-Danfoss, og ejer nu 55,4% af firmaet. Det betyder at Sauer-Danfoss nu reelt er et datterselskab.

Job Description

The Group Total Rewards team is responsible for ensuring an attractive and competitive remuneration structure in Danfoss. We work globally and our decision making is based on quantitative analysis. We support our lines of business and regions with tools and analytical support on compensation trends and challenges.

Job Responsibilities

As member of the total rewards team, you will:

Take part and drive the development of quantitative analysis mainly using Excel; however, programming techniques would be a great benefit

  • Support with various reporting to internal and external partners, e.g. annual salary data collection and reporting to vendors, compensation scorecard etc.
  • Participate and individually perform ad hoc benchmarking on salary trends and issues to various stakeholders in the organization
  • Participate and support in other development activities and from time-to-time support on administrative tasks

Most of the team is located at our office in the heart of Copenhagen. We also expect you to be working from the office at least a couple of days per week especially in the beginning of your time with Danfoss.
We are flexible with the hours you work each week, according to your dedication to your studies. However, we expect that you can work approximately 15-20 hours per week with less during exams.

Background & Skills

We are looking for the right candidate with the right personality. Some of the key words for us are:

  • Student within the field of economics, finance or engineering
  • Analytical mindset enjoying working with numbers and analysis
  • Experience from a similar student position and with at least 2 years until graduation
  • Being confident in working with Microsoft Excel. Experience with programming and/or PowerBI is a plus but is not required
  • Being familiar with communicating the results of your analysis – and you are fluent in English
  • Working independently and take responsibility for completing tasks within set deadlines
  • Open minded and ready to engage with colleagues potentially from all around the world
  • Ambitious to achieve the best possible solution for a given challenge and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Easy-going personality that wants to make a difference
  • Service minded and helpful on the tasks we might get over time
  • Ready to deal with ambiguity and with a variety of different tasks for a diverse team of internal stakeholders
